IDW Publishing announced at the Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo (C2E2) this weekend that they'll be bringing back a pair of fan-favorite decades-old properties in remastered editions. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman and Eric Talbot's Zombie War, two giant-sized issues released twenty years ago, will be reissued for the first time in color this October. "When longtime friend Tom Skulan and I created the concept of Zombie War it was purely and completely out of LOVE of the genre, and when it came to bringing the vision to life, Eric Talbot was the only artist we wanted to work with!" said co-creator Kevin Eastman. "Man—what a great time we had with this story!" "Personally this event is VERY exciting to me," continued Eastman. "More than twenty years after the original series came out in black and white, we get the chance to remaster the piece with my favorite colorist on the planet, the most AWESOME Ronda Pattison! I can't wait to see what the fans think of one of most near and dear blasts from the past!"

Also announced were new, deluxe hardcover editions of all four volumes of Christian Gossett's critically-acclaimed The Red Star, set to begin rolling out in the fall. "IDW has raised the industry standard with its deluxe line, and The Red Star is known for its world-class production value, so this is a match made in heaven," said Gossett. "I'm proud that our long-time readership will at last be offered the lavish version they deserve, and to give new readers their best opportunity yet to discover this unique and ongoing saga." "Red Star remains one of the most imaginative and visually stunning creator-owned projects of the last 15 years," said IDW's President, Greg Goldstein. "We're delighted to be able offer it in the deluxe format it truly deserves."
