Captain America: The Winter Solider Comic-Con Trailer

During the Marvel Studios panel at 2013 San Diego Comic-Con International, Marvel Studios showed the first trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. While Marvel Studios said they wouldn't be releasing the trailer online, we've got a detailed description of the trailer below. The Captain America: The Winter Solider trailer kicks off with Chris Evans' character Steve Rogers (Captain America) getting into a glass elevator. Steve Rogers has his Captain America shield strapped onto his back. Then, Frank Grillo's character Brock Rumlow (Crossbones) also gets into the elevator. Steve Rogers gives Brock Rumlow a once over look, as if he knows trouble is brewing. As the elevator continues to go from floor to floor, more unsavory characters (many brandishing weapons) enter the elevator. Steve Rogers says, "Before we get started, does anyone want to get out?" Of course, no one takes Steve Rogers up on his offer. Brock Rumlow mumbles something about it not being personal, and a big fight breaks out. After dispensing with everyone on the elevator, Steve Rogers is seen kicking his shield back up into his hands as he exits the elevator. The scene cuts to Robert Redford's character Alexander Pierce, who says he joined S.H.I.E.L.D. to build a better world, but he also says that sometimes means tearing down the old one, which makes enemies. Nick Fury warns Captain America to keep his eyes open. Then, there are some action sequences involving Black Widow, as well as Anthony Mackie's character The Falcon, leaping into flight. Captain America appears on his motorcycle, fighting against a helicopter. Next, there is a scene of the Helicarrier crashing down in flames. The trailer ends with a shot of Captain America's shield on the ground, while the metal hand of The Winter Soldier reaches out for it. The big reveal at the end is the camera pans up to show The Winter Soldier. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is directed by the team of Anthony and Joe Russo from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely. Captain America: The Winter Soldier stars Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, along with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. In addition, film icon Robert Redford is part of the cast as Agent Alexander Pierce, a senior leader within the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is scheduled to be released in movie theaters in the United States on April 4, 2014.
