Today at the Television Critics Association upfronts for Great Performances: The Hollow Crown, a new BBC series in which he appears, Marvel's The Avengers and Thor: The Dark World star Tom Hiddleston told reporters that he wouldn't be averse to appearing in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the new series coming to ABC in the fall that picks up where The Avengers left off. In fact, the actor said, he's discussed the possibility with Avengers director and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. producer Joss Whedon. "It would be something that would depend upon script and story but yeah, of course," Hiddleston told Crave Online. "I've spoken to [Whedon] about it. I saw him down in San Diego. I hear it's good fun." Of course, adding Loki to that series could be an interesting maneuver; he did, after all, kill Agent Phil Coulson--the central character in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., who has somehow got better between The Avengers and now. So yeah--there might be some unresolved issues there...!
