Slowly but surely, everybody is weighing in on Ben Affleck's decision to take the job of Batman in the forthcoming Batman vs. Superman movie. While it's likely George Clooney will support his friend, and Michael Keaton will almost certainly have some interesting things to say about it during the press junket for Birdman, his upcoming film which revolves around a washed-up actor who once played an iconic superhero. The actor, played by Keaton, must overcome his ego and family trouble as he prepares to mount a Broadway play in a bid to reclaim past glory. Adam West, meanwhile, gave Affleck a nickel's worth of free hygiene advice and now Val Kilmer has chimed in. Short and to the point, Kilmer simply told skeptical fans, "Give Ben a chance." For Ben, meanwhile, it might be worth giving Kilmer's recent appearance on Conan a viewing. "You need help getting dressed. It takes about 45 minutes to get undressed," Kilmer explained of playing the Dark Knight. "This is true, you need help going to the bathroom. You can't hear anymore, because it's plastic, do this right now [holding his hands over his ears] That's what it's like. Now pull it like some of our friends in Malibu [pulling the skin on his face tight]. And then when you call out for help no one comes." You can see the video below, in which Kilmer adds, "In between takes, you're like a mannequin. You're in a kind of lounge chair. You're like, 'Daisy, can I have some water?' No one comes. It literally has to be fed in…you have to have a straw." Wonder what Kevin Conroy has to say...?
