Batman Vs. Superman Movie Offered $35 Million In Incentives To Film In Michigan

It looks like Batman and Superman are heading to Detroit, Michigan. The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the Michigan Film Office has officially announced that the Warner Bros. Man Of Steel sequel has been approved for $35 million in incentives to film in Michigan. In exchange for those $35 million in incentives, Warner Bros. will reportedly spend $131 million in the state of Michigan and hire around 406 Michigan workers. In addition, the Michigan Film Office says Warner Bros. will use about 500 Michigan vendors and spend around $5.1 million on local hotels. Detroit will be one of the cities where Batman Vs. Superman films, but there are also expected to be other shooting locations in other areas of Michigan as well. The film will start shooting sometime during the first three months of 2014. "Detroit is a great example of a quintessential American city, and I know it will make the perfect backdrop for our movie," said director Zack Snyder in a quote released by the MFO. The untitled Man Of Steel sequel which is rumored to be called either Batman Vs. Superman or Superman Vs. Batman is scheduled to be released on July 17, 2015.
