Breaking news out of China is that Michael Bay was attacked on the set of Transformers 4. Fortunately, it appears that the directors injuries were minor, and he did not need to seek medical treatment for them. According to the South China Morning Post, two men tried to extort HK$100,000 from Michael Bay and his crew, while they were shooting scenes in Hong Kong on Thursday. After police arrived on the scene, a scuffle broke out, and Michael Bay reportedly received minor injuries after being bumped by one of the men. Three policemen were also injured during the scuffle with the men. The men reportedly owned a business in the area and were upset that the filming was hurting their business, which is why they demanded compensation. After the two men and a third man at the scene were arrested, Michael Bay continued filming scenes which featured actress Li Bingbing. The third man arrested was reportedly wanted in connection to another case. The three men have been held for questioning, but they have not been charged. Transformers 4 is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on June 27, 2014.
