A new rumor has surfaced that the new Batmobile in Batman Vs. Superman might be a Cadillac. The rumor comes way of Batman-On-Film.com, which just happens to be the same site that first reported that Warner Bros. was looking to cast an older Batman. According to their source, which they identify ad Dr. Detroit, the Batmobile is being designed and built by General Motors at the GM Advanced Design Studio in North Hollywood. They're the same group that built the vehicles for Transformers 4. The Batmobile will reportedly not look anything like the Tumbler from Christopher Nolan's Batman movies. While the Batmobile is just in the design stage, the source revealed that an old Cadillac will be featured prominently in the movie. Of course, there are some old Cadillac designs and concept cars that look similar to the Batmobile, which could mean the old Cadillac is the Batmobile. It would definitely make sense from the perspective that having a completely different look for the Batmobile would help in separating the new Batman from Nolan's Dark Knight. Since Ben Affleck will likely be able to fit well into playing the playboy lifestyle of Bruce Wayne, a Cadillac-style design would probably be preferable over the military vehicle look. Batman Vs. Superman is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on July 17, 2015.
