Brian Griffin Family GuySpoiler Warning:

We left the title a little vague, but most major news outlets starting spoiling in their titles last night. If you don't know what's going on with Brian Griffin of Family Guy and don't want to know, then stop reading now. However, if you would like to find out why Brian Griffin has been trending on Twitter for most of today, then keep reading. On last night's episode of Family Guy called "Life of Brian," Brian Griffin was hit by a car and killed. And unfortunately, Stewie had destroyed his time machine, so he couldn't go back in time and save him. The death of the Griffin family dog was met with huge outrage on social media. Fans have been calling for boycotts of the show, sending angry tweets to Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, and of course launching petitions. A Facebook page called "R.I.P. Brian Griffin from Family Guy" has already reached over 100,000 likes in support of the character. A petition to bring back Brian Griffin has already attracted over 2,300 signatures. The Brian Giffin petition states: "Brian Griffin was an important part of our viewing experience. He added a witty and sophisticated element to the show. Family Guy and Fox Broadcasting will lose viewers if Brian Griffin is not brought back to the show." Of course, many suspect that Brian Griffin's death was just a way to attract attention to the show, and there is considerable evidence that it's already planned for Brian Griffin to return from the dead.
