Arrow

's midseason finale ratings were down around eight percent from last week's season high, when Barry Allen's introduction seemingly brought a lot of new, casual and lapsed viewers into the fold--but the news wasn't all bad as the episode hit its all-time high among men 18-34. The episode, titled "Three Ghosts," scored a 1.6/6 in men 18-34, ranking #1 in the hour. Arrow also delivered The CW's best rating in that demographic for any show in more than three years (Smallville on 10/29/10) and its best performance among that demographic--key to the success of comic book adaptations, obviously--in the Wednesday 8-9 pm time period in more than five years. Arrow also matched its second highest rating ever in adults 18-34 and tied its second best number of the season in adults 18-49. The show was up 10% from last year's midseason finale in both A18-34 and A18-49, and was "virtually on par" with last week's season high in both demos, says The CW. Arrow also tied both Fox and ABC at 8pm among adults 18-34. Overall, "Three Ghosts" scored a 1.1, down 8 percent from last week's 1.2 adults 18-49 rating and brought in 3.04 million total viewers.
