The first trailer for Christopher Nolan's Interstellar will be released theatrically with The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Here's a description of what happens in the Interstellar trailer. The Interstellar trailer starts off with clips from various old space missions, while Matthew McConaughey's character Cooper provides narration about the world's need for exploration. The footage from the actual film shows a closeup of Cooper's face as he is driving. There is a flash of the gas tank of a beat-up, faded blue truck. There is also a flash of a child grabbing an adult's hand, as the two stand in a cornfield and look up at a rocket blasting away in the sky. In a voiceover, Cooper says, "We've always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible. And we count these moments. These moments when we dare to aim higher, to break barriers, to reach for the stars, to make the unknown known. We count these moments as our proudest achievements. Are we lost on that? Perhaps, we've just forgotten that we are still pioneers. And we've barely begun. And that our greatest accomplishments cannot be behind us, because out destiny lies above us." Warner Bros. and Paramount have also launched the official website for Interstellar at InterstellarMovie.com. The website contains the first official image associated with the film, which is the Interstellar logo. Interstellar chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage. Interstellar is being directed by Christopher Nolan. Interstellar cast includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck, David Gyasi, Wes Bentley, Mackenzie Foy, Timothée Chalamet, Topher Grace, David Oyelowo, Ellen Burstyn, and Michael Caine. Interstellar is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on November 7, 2014.
