While Warner Bros. has yet to officially announce a Sandman movie, Joseph Gordon-Levitt has confirmed rumors of his involvement in the project. After news broke earlier today that Gordon-Levitt was negotiating to star in and possible direct a Sandman movie, Gordon-Levitt shared some additional details on the project via Twitter.Providing a hint on what story arc the movie may follow, Gordon-Levitt tweeted, “Ladies and gentlemen, I’m incredibly honored to be working with David Goyer, Warner Bros, and @neilhimself on SANDMAN. #Prelude”When a fan asked if Sandman was a super hero or villain, Gordon-Levitt responded, “Ah, that’s quite a question…” Gordon-Levitt’s answer certainly suggests that the movie will follow Morpheus’ ambiguous nature in the comic books and not try to turn him into a super hero for the masses.
