The Simpsons Lego Merchandise And Lego-Themed Episode Announced

The LEGO Group and Twentieth Century Fox are teaming up for a Simpsons themed LEGO construction set. The construction set will provide all the pieces necessary to build The Simpson's family home. The set will also include LEGO mini-figures for the entire Simpsons family: Homer, Marge, Bart, Maggie, Lisa and even their neighbor, Ned Flanders. In addition, a seperate line of 16 Simpsons themed mini-figures will be also be released featuring other member of the Simpsons' cast. It was also announced that Fox is scheduled to air a special LEGO episode of the Simpsons, featuring Springfield and its residents brought to life with LEGO blocks. "We are thrilled to collaborate with Fox during the 25th anniversary year of the Simpsons," said Jill Wilfert, vice president licensing & entertainment at The LEGO Group. "We know our fans will love the challenge of building the Simpsons' family home in great detail and the ability to collect quintessential characters in LEGO minifigure form will let them showcase their love of the show in a whole new way. We are also excited that THE SIMPSONS will be created in LEGO form, truly bringing this partnership to life." The Simpsons LEGO construction set will be available at LEGO stores and through the LEGO website and mail order catalog in February, 2014. The LEGO episode of The Simpsons will air in May, 2014.
