Jason Momoa

Back in December, reports surfaced that Jason Momoa was in negotiations for a role in the upcoming Batman Vs. Superman movie. The reports didn't come from just anybody, they came from the usually reliable Hollywood Reporter, who reported it not as a rumor but as an exclusive. While the role that Momoa was reportedly negotiating for was unknown, it was speculated that he could be in the running to either play Doomsday or Martian Manhunter. However, according to IGN, Jason Momoa is dismissing the report as rumor. While the title of IGN's report declares that Jason Momoa is not in Batman Vs. Superman, his actual quote seems a little more vague. Momoa said, "Maybe I told someone that it would be awesome and that's how it started. But it's just a rumor." As we've learned from Ant-Man, a Hollywood celebrity classifying a casting report as a rumor isn't necessarily concrete proof that they aren't going to be in a movie. Of course with recent reports that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is in talks with Warner Bros. about a DC Comics role, it could be very possible that Warner Bros. is looking somewhere else for the Doomsday role (if in fact Doomsday is going to be part of the movie). Batman Vs. Superman is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on July 17, 2015.
