Marvel Studios will release a second trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier during the Super Bowl broadcast in two weeks, Marc Graser of Variety says. While some fans had hoped to see a first look at James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy during the big game, the big push for Cap 2–which comes out in three months–shouldn’t be surprising. Last year, Marvel didn’t give Thor: The Dark World any Super Bowl ad time, either, opting instead to push Iron Man 3. They also, if you’ll remember, offered fans an “extended look” trailer via the movie’s Facebook page on game day, so keep an eye out for that this year, and maybe pre-emptively like the Captain America page just in case.Thor: The Dark World got its first trailer in April ahead of a November release, though, so if Guardians is on a similar timetable, we should see at least a teaser soon; that film is due out on August 1.
