The bizarre plot synopsis for Josh Trank's upcoming reboot of the Fantastic Four film franchise that ComicBook.com reported on back in December is starting to generate some buzz online. A number of news sites today have picked up a casting notice, complete with the claim that Michael B. Jordan is locked in for Johnny Storm and that the film will begin filming in March. The notice features what's purportedly an official synopsis of the film, which if true means it will feature a decidedly different take on the origin of Marvel's First Family than long-time fans are used to. According to the casting call, only Ben Grimm and Reed Richards will be bombarded by cosmic rays on board Richards's experimental rocket, and they're joined later by "two others with powers." Whether this could lead to a meeting between the X-Men and the Fantastic Four down the line is anybody's guess; Fox reportedly wants to make such a movie happen, and if Sue and Johnny were mutants, it's possible that would provide an in-roads for filmmakers to do so. You can check out the summary below...

Plot synopsis removed at request of Twentieth Century Fox.

A call to Fox to confirm whether this is official yielded no results; we were forwarded to voicemail and the call has not yet been returned.
