Doctor Doom Could Be Female In Fanatic Four Reboot
The Hollywood Reporter

is reporting that Doctor Doom may be cast as a female in the upcoming Fantastic Four film reboot. It’s still early in the casting process, but the studio is aiming for a big name to play the iconic villain and is open to the idea of a female star taking on the role.If this comes to pass it will surely rankle some feathers, the same way the casting rumors about Michael B. Jordan, a black man, in the role of the traditionally white Johnny Storm did.Jordan is the only star currently attached to the film by multiple sources. Rumor is that several stars have begun screen-testing for the film, including Kate Mara and Emmy Rossum for Sue Storm, Miles Teller for Reed Richards, and Christian Cook for The Thing.Previous rumors that Kit Harington, Saorise Ronan and Elizabeth Olsen would be testing have been proven incorrect as the actors have been drawn into other projects that would cause schedule conflicts.Again, all of this is simply a rumor about what the studio might be considering, but it would certainly be a bold move if they went in that direction.
