Paul Bettany, the British actor best known to comic book fans for voicing Tony Stark's J.A.R.V.I.S. robot butler/sidekick system, will take on the role of The Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Daily Mail reports. That certainly lends credence to fan theories that Tony Stark would be behind both The Vision and Ultron, and/or that Ultron may be a corrupted version of J.A.R.V.I.S. In the comics, The Vision was first introduced to The Avengers as a tool of Ultron before he became a hero instead, ultimately taking on the consciousness of the then-dead Wonder Man and becoming romantically entangled with the Scarlet Witch, who will be played by Elizabeth Olsen in the upcoming star-studded sequel. This is still not confirmed by Marvel, and the article makes that much--as well as the fact that representatives for the production, codenamed After Party, would not even speak to the Mail--clear. The same rumor started circulating briefly about a year ago, but at that point most fans were still convinced that Vision would be played by--depending on when you asked--Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Clark Gregg or Guardians of the Galaxy's Vin Diesel.
