Gremlins Remake Reportedly Being Fast-Tracked

A remake of Gremlins is being fast-tracked, according to a report from Ain't It Cool News. While the report is primarily about The Goonies II, at the end there's a mention that a remake of Gremlins is "moving quickly" at Warner Bros. In the original Gremlins, a boy inadvertently breaks 3 important rules concerning his new pet, a Mogwai, and unleashes a horde of malevolently mischievous monsters on a small town. The film was directed by Joe Dante and starred Zach Galligan and Phoebe Cates. Howie Mandel voiced Gizmo. The black comedy was followed by a more lighthearted sequel, Gremlins 2: The New Batch.
