Masters Of The Universe Movie Will Reportedly Be Directed By Jeff Wadlow

Jeff Wadlow will direct Master of the Universe, according to a report from Schmoeville. Wadlow has previously directed Kick-Ass 2 and is said to also be in the running to direct the rumored X-Force movie. The report states the Wadlow helming Master of the Universe is an official, closed deal and that a formal announcement should come from Sony Pictures shortly. In the original Masters of the Universe cartoon, in a distant and mystical land, wimpy Prince Adam leads the life of royalty. Unknown to all but a few close friends/allies, Prince Adam is actually a hero, the mighty He-Man. Together with his friends, (such as Teela; her father, a man-at-arms; mysterious Orko and his mighty friend/horse substitute Battle Cat), He-Man battles the evil Skeletor and his minions for control of the world, and, more importantly, for the control, power and "honor of Greyskull," the mysterious castle from which He-Man derives his powers. The series spawned a huge line of toys, comics and even a previous film adaptation in 1987. No release date or plot details for the new Masters of the Universe film have been released.
