When episodes were released on the Blu-ray of Cartoon Network's Beware the Batman that had never seen the air, many fans expected we would never see another new episode and that the show had been quietly cancelled. Not long after that, though, the previously-unseen episodes released on the Blu-ray were promised as scheduled, so that fans didn't have to buy the home video if they didn't want to in order to watch them. Now, another 13 previously un-announced episodes have been added to that, totalling 15 new episodes that will air before the series goes away forever. Of course, you'll have to either have a DVR, or be willing to stay up really late, to watch them. The new episodes will air at 3 a.m. on Sunday mornings, starting on July 27. As any number of critics and fans have noted, this isn't just being burned off, which is common with cancelled shows. This is being burned off at essentially the worst possible time slot. The final hour of the "Toonami" block, the series will launch on May 11 at 3am Eastern/Pacific, and run through the first (already aired) episodes of the series before beginning the new episodes at the end of July.
