Prince Namor The Sub-Mariner

Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures may be working together on a Prince Namor film, according to a rumor being reported by the Latino Review. Yesterday, Legendary and Universal put an unnamed film on the schedule for November 6, 2016. Not much else is known about the project, but the report claims that the film is "new and not a sequel or remake, though it may be based on underlying intellectual property." If it's not a remake, then means it won't be a film based on Universal's famous monsters. However, Kevin Feige did confirm last year that Universal Pictures still has the rights to Namor. Could this be the "underlying intellectual property" that the mystery film is based on? Again, only a rumor. There are others as well, suggesting that it may actually be a Mass Effect film, a film based on the Hot Wheels toy license, or possibly Will Smith's Brilliance, but of all of those Namor seems like the surest bet for success, which also makes it seem like the most likely choice for the studios. Who knows, maybe this this even has something to do with the Zac Efron rumors that were circulating yesterday?
