Vincent D'Onofrio Cast As The Kingpin In Daredevil

Vincent D'Onofrio has joined the cast of Marvel's Daredevil as the Kingpin of Crime, Wilson Fisk. D'Onofrio is known for his roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Men in Black, Full Metal Jacket and Homicide.

The Kingpin, one of Daredevil's greatest enemies, will appear in the series as a businessman with an interest in Hell's Kitchen, the home turf of Matt Murdock. These interests will bring Fisk into direct conflict with Daredevil.

The Kingpin is the second major role to be cast for Daredevil. Marvel recently announced that Stardust star Charlie Cox would be playing Matt Murdock.

"We're incredibly proud to have an actor with the gravitas and versatility of Vincent joining Marvel's Daredevil in such an integral role," said Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Head of Television. "Wilson Fisk is an iconic villain whose cunning and power make him the dangerous equal of our hero."

Daredevil is the first of five Marvel Studios television series coming exclusively to Netflix. Executive Producer Steven S. DeKnight will serve as showrunner.

Daredevil is expected to debut on Netflix in 2015.
