Gail Simone: "I Did Not Get Fired on Batgirl. I Left the Book Over Creative Differences."

Back when Gail Simone was briefly fired off DC Comics' Batgirl monthly, she blamed then-new series editor Brian Cunningham, saying that he had fired her via e-mail following a series of disagreements about the title.

Now, as she leaves the title for a second time -- now of her own free will -- she's giving a lot of love to the new creative team and their new editors, saying that she quit over creative differences.

She took to Twitter today to thank fans for their outpouring of support as she leaves the title, to praise the incoming creative team and implore readers to give them a shot...and of course to sound off a bit on her own run:
