Resident Evil 6, tentatively titled Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, will be delayed as a result of franchise lead Milla Jovovich's pregnancy, Deadline reports.

Her husband, Paul W.S. Anderson, is the director and producer of the film, which presumably helps make the decision easier. Anderson wrote and produced all of the films and directed three of the first five.

"There are no set dates for shooting yet.  I think we're waiting until we have a first draft screenplay and then go from there," Anderson said back when the film, which he says will be the final installment in the series, was announced. "I don't know [when it will be in theaters], depends how fast I write, I guess.  There's no set date yet but hopefully we'll have an announcement for that soon."

Deadline says that the film will begin production in 2015, after the child is born.
