Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Clark Gregg: Coulson’s Return Seems “Inhuman”

Answering a fan question on Twitter, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Clark Gregg used a particularly loaded word to describe Agent Coulson’s resurrection–and one that could hint at some interesting story directions for the character.One of which would tie into an as-yet-unannounced Marvel Studios film that virtually everyone expects to come in the next few years.You can check out the tweet below:

That he would use the word “inhuman” when Marvel’s The Inhumans are rumored to be one of the movies the studio will announce in the first half of 2014 is an interesting choice. If Gregg were any other actor, it would be easy enough to overlook, but he’s an avowed Marvel Comics geek and almost certainly knew that some readers would read that word in a particular way.The other option, of course, is the “small-i” inhuman–that he’s a LMD, an android or some other non-human life form. That’s less sexy, but likely the real answer.
