UPDATE: Diggle reached out to us via Twitter this morning to point out that he took over as ongoing writer with #14. Given the phrasing of Skybound’s press release, we had assumed the original plan was for him to be on for an arc and then leave, and that the plans had changed. We apologize for any confusion. writer Andy Diggle will take on the writing chores of Skybound Entertainment’s Thief of Thieves on an ongoing basis in April. The series, which has had revolving writers since it launched, is just one of Skybound’s titles (along with The Walking Dead and Invincible) headed into a new status quo this year. When the new arc kicks off, Diggle and dedicated artist Shawn Martinbrough’s Thief of Thieves #20 will see Conrad Paulson after a big score once again, but this time he may not be so lucky. The issue hits stores on April 23.Conrad pulled off his last heist, but not without making some new enemies to add to his ever-growing list. Diggle hinted that the stakes would be raised in this new arc. “Master thief Redmond was hoping to retire after the biggest heist of his career, but instead it’s dropped him into the crossfire of an international gang war,” hinted Diggle. “He’s been on the back foot for too long; now it’s time for Redmond to go on the offensive. Things are going to get bloody.”
