“I am,” Bassett revealed to Larry King. “Yeah, I signed up after that first year.”
She was then asked to explain why AHS has been so successful. “I have no idea. I can’t, but I can appreciate it,” she began. “With the first one, there was a little history, but there was also a little tongue and cheek, not taking itself too seriously, a little over the top theatricality. I think all those things, all that mix, and then little comments on culture and the times and sexism and racism and ageism. A little of not being afraid to address those issues.”
