Marvel Studios will not film Ant-Man in the U.K. in spite of previous reports that it would be one of the handful of Disney productions planned to be shot at Pinewood in the near future.Instead, they will bring the production to Pinewood’s Atlanta studio, where it will be the first film shot there, taking advantage of the state’s generous tax incentives that shows like Archer and The Wakling Dead enjoy.Pinewood’s new 288 acre site is just outside of Fayetteville, GA, and consists of five sound stages totalling 100,000 square feet and around 300,000 square feet of production office and workshop space, according to KFTV, which seems to have broken the story. They report that it is likely that the other locations for Ant-Man will be predominantly Atlanta-based, but that they’re still in the process of being scouted and locked down.
