There was a lot of story to fit into one episode this week, so if Arrow felt a little light on the Easter eggs, that’s probably why.
Or it’s that we didn’t have a chance to hear everything because my DVR is on the fritz.

MR. DENNIS
Is that board member a reference to longtime DC Comics/Vertigo editor Will Dennis?
No idea. Just worth asking.
MR. TERRIFIC
Curtis Holt is this universe’s version of Mr. Terrific.
Here, he’s a gay, young man named Curtis, rather than a middle-aged straight mane named Michael…but we’ve already seen the impetus for setting him on a course to create his trademark weapon/gear: T-Spheres.
ANARKY
Lonnie Machin is a Robin/Batman villain who terrorized Gotham in the ’80s and ’90s in between bouts of being an antihero.
In the comics, he wore a sylized costume and called himself Anarky. Here, we didn’t see that…but the “A” emblem was used, the concept of anarchy came up a few times, he was battling the government…
…and after being burned nearly to death, he got up, fought to escape and may show up in that robe/mask combo the next time we see him.
THE MAYORAL RUN
When does this stop counting? When people stop messaging us every time anybody runs for mayor.
Yes, Oliver Queen has run for mayor (and even served as mayor) in the comics, and yes, his Green Arrow speech announced his intention to…well, be Green Arrow.
But frankly, Marc Guggenheim had us snowed. Not long ago, the showrunner said something in the vein of it would be very difficult to make Oliver run for office because he would have to declare a party affiliation and deal with political issues, which would not only be boring but also potentially alienate viewers who didn’t agree with him.
Instead, the writers have torn apart the social fabric of Star City, so that the thing it needs and the thing Oliver will focus on making himself is simply someone who plants his flag and says no to terrorists and maniacs.
Seems lke something we can all pretty much rally behind…!
WHITE CANARY
Those in the know, have known for some time that Sara Lance was coming back; the character of White Canary — a resurrected, personality-shifted version of Sara — is a series regular on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, coming in early 2016 on The CW.
…and, yeah. That was a super creepy look at her corpse tonight. Well done, guys.
