For a few weeks now, Arrow viewers have wondered how Slade Wilson’s new and improved Deathstroke plans to introduce himself back into Oliver Queen’s life, following the revelation that he’s secretly pulling Brother Blood’s strings and providing the Mirakuru serum that’s driving one of the series’ principal plotlines. It seems as though now we know–and as you can see from Oliver’s spoiler-free angry face above, it’s a pretty effective way of making a point. In the classic Batman story Knightfall, upon which The Dark Knight Rises was partially based, a then-new villain named Bane freed the villains of Arkham Asylum and deduced Batman’s identity, ultimately meeting the exhausted Dark Knight at his home, using Alfred as leverage and taking advantage of Batman’s shock and his weakened state to defeat him.It seems as though Slade Wilson has read that particular story at least once, because he’s making a house call in new preview photos for Arrow‘s upcoming fifteenth episode of Season Two, titled “The Promise.”Of course, it doesn’t look like the two will get straight to fighting–not with Moira and Thea in the mix (and it seems as though Moira is dating Slade? Probably the reveal coming up at the end of tomorrow night’s episode that Amell has said more than once will leave fans frustrated about the week between installments). On top of that, we get island photos that indicate Oliver and company have made their way onto the Amazo, and will have to suffer some consequences for it. That could be particularly instructive given star Stephen Amell’s comments earlier today that “present day in Starling City takes place over the course of 40, 45 minutes, but a lot of time passes on the island” in the episode.Check out the preview images below…at your own risk.
