Intros & Outros

ย
Batman’s intro and Superman’s outroย were superb.
Ben Affleck’sย Batman was born in the first few minutes of the film but when he was seen perched in the corner of a Gotham crime house like a true bat, chills went down our spines. Immediately after that, just after coming into focus, Batman takes off along the wall and dodges bullets for his exit. We knew, very loud and clearly, this was our new Batman.ย
Then, there was the outroย of Superman (I warned you about spoilers). The team behind this film was bold enough to follow the comic book facts that Doomsday kills Superman. Superman’s death was an a shocking and heartbreaking moment as he heroically sacrificed himself to save the planet and his beloved Lois Lane.
Batmobile Chase

ย
Batman chasing down Luthor’sย thugs in the Batmobile was one of the most epic car chase’s in recent cinematic history. The new Batmobileย is loaded with gadgets and Bruce Wayne is one hell of a driver!
You can’t sit there and act ย the Batmobileย flying out of the building and taking off the roof of the henchman’s truck wasn’t awesome! The flares which distracted the RPG, also fantastic! The drifting, the pulling cars behind it and using them as weapons, the entire scene was amazing.
Lex’s Manipulation

ย
In a very Dark Knight Joker moment for Lex Luthor, he manipulated Superman into fighting for him, putting him in a position of choosing who dies.
“Boy, we’re got trouble up here!” Lexย told Superman as he flew to the top of the building. The roaring Lexย Luthorย theme song only made the moments that much more riveting as we knew Superman had to either kill Batman or let his mother die and Lexย stepped backwards onto his helicopter.
“And now, God bends to my will.”
Wonder Woman’s Arrival

ย
Did your theater applaud Wonder Woman’s emphatic entrance, saving Batman’s life, too? Because every time I’ve seen it, the theatre put their hands together for the warrior princess.
Gal Gadot’sย Diana Prince arrived just in time for the fight with Doomsday and occupied the Kryptonian beast just long enough for Superman to save the world. The action was fantastic and getting see her use the lasso on the big screen was epic but, still, none of it quite topped her battle entrance.
I Believe You

ย
In a moment ripped straight from the page’s of The Dark Knight Returns, Batman put down Lex Luthor’sย menacing, scarfacedย henchman and freed Martha Kent.
It’s always good to see the movies pay homage to the comics especially when they mirror the original content this closely. A man with a gun threatened Batman in Frank Miller’s comic, telling him, “Believe me! I’ll kill a kid!” to which Batman responded, “I believe you,” before putting him down.
What it led to may have been even better, though.ย
“I’m a friend of your son’s,” Batman told Martha.
“I figured,” she responded. “The cape…”
