Batman V Superman Has Made $137 Million Worldwide

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice has already earned $137 million at the international market, giving it more than $200 million globally in the first day and change of its official release.

The Hollywood Reporter says the movie has earned more than $40 million in China alone on Friday and Saturday, setting a new record for the territory.

Batman V Superman is tracking for about a $175 million opening here in the U.S., and a $300-350 million worldwide bow for its first weekend, according to estimates released after the superhero mash-up grossed $82 million in its first day.

The movie earned $89 million overseas on Friday in what is one of the largest wide releases for a film ever. More than 60 markets are showing the film on more than 30,000 screens.
