This is it ladies and gentlemen, the big moment that has been teased ever since this season of The Big Bang Theory premiered.

In the best timing ever, the show opens with a Star Wars crawl telling us that tonight’s episode is all about tickets to the hottest show in town…Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We open on the guys playing a game on the coffee table when Leonard runs in shouting that he can’t get through to pre-order movie tickets. Sheldon in an act of desperation decides to pray until Leonard actually gets through and we’re off to the races.

Sheldon, Penny and Leonard are eating breakfast talking about Sheldon’s plans are for Amy’s birthday. Sheldon says he’s going to go watch the original trilogy while eating some Star Wars cereal (hello product placement). When asked about Amy, he mentions he bought the ticket while they were broken up, so the premiere wins.

We then cut to Sheldon’s room while he’s sleeping and we see Bob Newhart as Obi Wan Kenobi. “What’s troubling you,” he asks. Sheldon tells him that his friends are telling him not to abandon his own girlfriend and Arthur agrees. Arthur asks if Sheldon loves Amy, and he says yes, also mentioning that she knows how important Star Wars is to him. “You can see this movie whenever you want, but you only have a limited number of days you can be with this one, be with her!” Sheldon agrees, and Arthur is on his way. Somewhere where he can wear pants.

Sheldon calls Amy and tells her he’s going to spend her birthday with her. He says he has tickets and explains that Professor Proton came to him and said he should spend the day with her. Amy asks if there was an alternative plan, Sheldon rushes her off the phone.

As the other guys are getting ready to go to the comic book shop, and Sheldon gives up his ticket. He trusts that they’ll give it to someone worthy. Leonard mentions Penny and Sheldon freaks out.

Sheldon then goes to knock on Penny’s door but Penny and Bernadette mess with Sheldon for a a bit before letting him in. Sheldon then asks for help picking a gift for Amy. Amy does like to knit her own sweaters and offers to send her off to Wisconsin to a sheep Festival.

Penny asks what the last option is and Sheldon says Coitus. *glass breaks* Literally. Penny breaks a glass with her bare hands.

Cut to the comic shop – the guys invite Wil Wheaton to the screening.

Back to Penny’s apartment, Penny and Bernadette ask Sheldon if he’s ready for this step. Sheldon wants to show her how much he loves her. “It’s settled, Amy’s birthday present will be my genitals.”

Amy, Bernadette and Penny head out on an adventure and Penny offers to get Amy a bikini wax for her birthday. Bernedette also offers to watch dirty movies while eating at home. Bernedette mentions to Amy that Sheldon is ready to get physical. Amy freaks out and can not believe it. She takes a seat on the stairs and in a fit of excitement says “Lets get me waxed!”

Cut to Sheldon’s room again and here’s Professor Proton. Sheldon tells him that he’s ready to get physical with Amy andthat he’s never done it before. Arthur then turns the lightsaber on to try and kill himself hari kari style, but he’s already a ghost.

Sheldon understands the mechanics, to Arthur’s relief because he doesn’t know the slang for body parts. “What do you need to know,” Arthur asks. Sheldon doesn’t want to be overwhelmed and ruin the night. “If it’s with someone you love you’ll be fine.”

Cut to the guys heading out to the screening. They’re at the theater getting ready for the movie to start and Wil is nowhere to be found. Naturally, Wil walks in, decked out in Star Trek gear. “I’m just rooting for the home team.”

Amy is then seen setting up candles when Sheldon knocks. She jumps onto the couch and tells Sheldon to come in, but she left the chain locked. Sheldon is dressed to the 9s and brings flowers for Amy. Naturally he mentions the candlelight and says its spooky, but hey – it’s her birthday she can do what she wants. Amy mentions she’s not really hungry and that maybe they could do presents first.

“I should probably tell you something about this gift.” – Sheldon

“You mean, before you…give it to me?” – Amy

“May I ask you a question before I…give it to you?” – Sheldon

Amy tells Sheldon that she knows the present is to be intimate. Sheldon asks if that’s alright and she kisses him. He needs verbal consent, she obliges. They make out as we cut back to the movie theater.

Wil mentions everything the Internet is thinking about Star Wars. If the movie is bad, it’s not going to ruin lives.

Bernedette and Penny are in Sheldon & Leonard’s apartment debating if Sheldon will go through with it.

Cut to Sheldon in Amy’s bed with Amy in her nightgown. It’s as awkward as you’d expect it to be. The two sit in bed not sure who should make the first move. Amy mentions she’s really nervous. When Sheldon asks why, Amy mentions that she doesn’t know what to expect. Sheldon doesn’t either and says they can find out together. They kiss and we cut to the theater.

The guys reiterate what Amy and Sheldon said, as a nice wink and a nod to the audience…but they were talking about the movie.

Cut to “In A Bedroom not so far away,” Star Wars style. “Well I enjoyed that much more than I thought I would,” mentioned Sheldon. Amy looks like she enjoyed herself as well.

The guys loved the movie and fade to black.

We’re back in Sheldon’s room and Arthur shows up. He was just curious how it went. Sheldon says it was amazing….I saw it a few days later, what a movie.

“What about Amy?”

“She liked it fine, but she doesn’t have the history with the franchise like I do.”

Fin.
