Disney’s Big Hero 6 was the highest grossing animated film of 2014, won Best Animated Film at the Academy Awards and now it has won the most prestigious honor of them all – the Kids’ Choice Award.
Last night at the Nickelodeon 2015 Kids’ Choice Awards, Big Hero 6, which was directed by Don Hall and Chris Williams, beat out How to Train Your Dragon 2, Penguins of Madagascar, Rio 2, The Lego Movie and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water for Favorite Animated Movie.

Also of note: The Amazing Spider-Man 2 actress Emma Stone won Favorite Female Actress; X-Men and Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence won Favorite Female Action Star and Angelina Jolie won Favorite Villain for her portrayal of Maleficent in Disney’s live-action retelling of Sleepy Beauty.
