Box Office: Home Tops Get Hard; Kingsman Crossed $300M Worldwide

I wanted to begin with 20th Century Fox’s R-rated comic book movie Kingsman: The Secret Service. It’ll finish in sixth place this weekend at the North American box office, but what’s more significant is that it has crossed the $300M mark at the worldwide box office – $183M overseas and $119M domestic. Congrats!

Meanwhile, Dreamworks Animation can breathe a sigh of relief as their latest film Home pulled in $15M yesterday and is now set for a $52.7M weekend debut. Warner Bros. Will Ferrell-Kevin Hart R-rated comedy Get Hard took in $12M Friday which puts it on pace for a $33M weekend debut. Home received an ‘A’ CinemaScore and Get Hard scored a ‘B.’

Last weekend’s box office champ Insurgent will finish in third with $23.23M. That’s a drop of 55% from last week’s figures.
