Sometimes things aren’t meant to be.
While doing press for the upcoming Tomorrowland, director Brad Bird admitted he had to turn down taking the reigns for Star Wars: The Force Awakens because it would take away from making the best out of Tomorrowland.

Speaking to Yahoo Movies, the Iron Giant director wanted to balance things out, but couldn’t get it to work. “There was no way to do that film without junking this film, and we had already gotten George Clooney involved and I was excited about this film. I understand they had to get [The Force Awakens] made, and they would?ve had to push it in order for me to do it.?
Even during the Tomorrowland screening, which took place at L.A.’s famous Chinese Theater, Bird mentioned how even debuting a movie at the same place where he first saw Star Wars was intimidating.
With Josh Trank recently exiting one of the Star Wars spin-off, would you want to see Bird take over as director, or would you rather have Incredibles 2?
