The seventh season of Burn Notice, set to debut in June, will be the show’s final, USA Network confirmed today. Assuming earlier rumors about the end of Psych are true, this means that the network’s original programming lineup will be missing two of its most beloved and long-running staples within a year or so.”Burn Notice has had an incredible run over the last six years, and we could not be more proud of the extraordinary talent both in front of and behind the cameras who have collectively made this show into one of the most popular and lauded shows on TV today,” said Chris McCumber, USA Network co-president.”From day one, Burn Notices characters, storylines and mythology have consistently captivated a massive audience, and this final season will raise the stakes even higher, leading up to a spectacular series finale,” added Jeff Wachtel, USA Network co-president.Creator Matt Nix will reportedly develop a new series for USA to replace the departing Burn Notice; his last new series, The Good Guys, was a short-lived fan-favorite on Fox. His new show will be a medical drama titled Complications.Burn Notice has become a staple at Comic Con and a fan-favorite among fanboys for keeping Sam Raimi staple Bruce Campbell on the air. Recent seasons have also had digital comic tie-ins.Whether Campbell, who recently starred in a Burn Notice spinoff movie, and other cast members from this will follow Nix to his next show is unknown.
