“I don’t know. Whenever I get a call from Scott Gimple or any of the executives, I get really scared,” Riggs said. “Last year, we were in New York and I got an e-mail from Scott to give him a call when I had a chance. [I thought], ‘Please no!’ He was telling me about Hershel’s death.”
The interview has been around for a while, but has been circulating on social media again today, possibly due to some fans speculating that he could be the “mystery cast member” appearing on Talking Dead. Typically, mystery guests tend to be actors whose character died in the episode in question.
The Walking Dead airs tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC, followed by Talking Dead at 10 p.m.
