It looks like Drake Doremus’ new film has officially added two new actors to its cast. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Charlie Hunnam and Lea Seydoux will star in the director’s next project.

The film, which has yet to be titled, is said to be a “unique love story.” However, most of the film’s details are being kept quiet in order to avoid untoward spoilers. However, fans have been told Ridley Scott’s production company will be producing the venture alongside as Doremus worked with them on his latest film, Equals.

Starring Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult, Equals follows an illustrator named Silas who contracts a rare disease in a future dystopian society. Set in a world where illnesses and emotions have been eradicated, Silas becomes infected with a virus that leave him with”Switched On Syndrome.” The disease allows Silas to feel emotions for the first time. It also lets him experience love as he falls for his co-worker Nia who’s also infected. However, their budding relationship is threatened when a cure for the disease is created, forcing both Silas and Nia to decide whether they should escape the city or return to their previous unfeeling lives.

Equals premiered at the 72nd Venice International Film Festival before opening to a limited theater release earlier last month. Prior to Equals, Doremus wrote and directed the film Like Crazy which went on to win the Grand Jury Prize at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. Loosely based on his own love life, Doremus’s film follows two characters who fall in love, of course. Anna, a British exchange student, falls in love with an American student and discovers what kind of difficulties can arise in cross-cultural relationships.

Given Doremus’ knack for romance, fans are interested to see how Hunnam and Seydoux will do in the director’s upcoming film. Of course, many well recognize Hunnam from his roles in projects such as Sons of Anarchy, Pacific Rim, or King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. As for Seydoux, she recently co-starred in Spectre, the latest James Bond film.
