Comic-Con 2016 Cosplay Day 2 Photo Gallery

It’s already the second day of San Diego Comic Con, and cosplayers from all over the world have come to the international celebration. The home of all things fan culture, SDCC has welcomed fans from all walks of fandom since the 1970s. The weekend-long celebration kicked off yesterday to much excitement, and today, fans have only continued to flood the convention’s crowded halls in pursuit of good times, great friends, and even better cosplay.

ComicBook.com has been scouring the convention since its doors opened, and we’re bringing you some of the very best cosplay out at SDCC this year. Of course, it’s sometimes hard to ask for a photo when we’re so busy admiring all of these cosplayers’ hard-work, but we managed to snap a few pics that are sure to leave you stunned.

For those of you unfamiliar with cosplaying, it’s likely what you think. Let’s do the math: costume + playing = cosplaying. Dedicated fans of shows, films, and more take time to handcraft personalized costumes of their favorite characters and ‘play’ as them for conventions all over the world. While the practice is often recognized for its Japanese origins, cosplaying has become a global phenomena since anyone can enjoy the pursuit should they so choose.
