The season 2 finale of Con Man is already upon us, with the final two episodes of the season debuting tomorrow on Comic-Con HQ. The final two episodes promise to wrap up Wray Nerely’s misadventures, as Alan Tudyk expertly plays a character whose life after a cult-hit sci-fi series canceled after one season is the focus; it’s almost like he’s lived it, somehow, the way he embodies this character.

Firefly parallels aside, this hilarious clip sees Tudyk’s character Wray getting ready to meet and charm a potential co-star (Guest star Laura Vandervoort) so he can land his next big series gig. The official description of the clip:

“Wray Nerely’s (Alan Tudyk) manager, Bobbie (Mindy Sterling), poses as a bartender to get an inside scoop on casting for Wray’s part in Doctor, Cop, Lawyer. Wray’s fellow cast mate from his cancelled series Spectrum Tiffany Gizela (Skyler Day) tries to give Wray some advice on securing the part.”
