When The Flash begged Reverse-Flash to go back in time and kill his mother, Nora Allen, once again, it eliminated the Flashpoint timeline; however, it didn’t reset things exactly as they were pre-Flashpoint. One of the more significant alterations is that John Diggle and Lyla Michaels are now the proud parents of a baby boy, John Jr., instead of a baby girl, Sara.

And with the crossover event coming up soon, Barry Allen will have interact with Diggle. And yes, the two will discuss how it Sara was snuffed out of existence. “It’s a great story point, you’ll see Diggle’s reaction to once having a daughter in the big four week crossover,” David Ramsey said during today at Heroes & Villains Fan Fest. “From his perspective, there’s only been John Jr.; Sara never existed for him.”
So, how will Diggle respond to what Barry did? “He’s not gonna be angry,” Ramsey said. “He’s gonna be much more concerned about Barry’s misuse of his powers.”

Last year, Smith directed the twenty-first episode of the second season of The Flash, titled “The Runaway Dinosaur,” and it featured Barry going on an emotional journey into The Speed Force after a dangerous experiment to get his speed back went haywire. While there, Barry conversed with The Speed Force, and it helped him accept his mother’s death โ temporarily. The episode was praised by critics and fans alike and earned Smith the opportunity to direct another episode in the series.
