In the new footage, Seth Rogen (Frank) and Salma Hayek (Teresa del Taco) are making their way out of the grocery store and seeing Hayek deliver some of her lines is pure magic. The ridiculous dialogue helps of course, but it’s unfortunate that people didn’t get to see her act out the scenes.

Directors Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon addressed the process of working with so many innately funny actors, and it turns out it was rather easy.

“The very first time I walked into the booth, because immediately I was just like, I don’t really have to direct anybody here. It’s stand-up comedy a lot of it. Ya know, and half the time I was like just trying not to just giggle and ruin the fricking take.”

The Blu-ray will include special features like the “Good Food Gag Reel,” and “Line-O-Rama”, which contains alternative takes and improves. “Shock and Awe: How Did This Get Made?,” describes the process of how Rogen and the team got the studio to greenlight the project in the first place. There will also be an alternate ending included on this edition of the film, which is also pushing for Oscar consideration.

In this CG-animated movie, one sausage leads a group of supermarket products on a quest to discover the truth about their existence and what really happens when they become chosen to leave the grocery store. The film features the vocal talents of some of today’s best comedy stars โ€“ Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton, and Salma Hayek.

Directed by Conrad Vernon & Greg Tiernan, SAUSAGE PARTY is based on a story by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Jonah Hill and a screenplay by Kyle Hunter, Ariel Shaffir, Seth Rogen and Even Goldberg. The film is produced by Megan Ellison, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Conrad Vernon and executive produced by Jonah Hill, Kyle Hunter and David Distenfeld.

Sausage Party hits Digital on November 1, and lands on Blu-ray and DVD on November 8.
