Pokemon GO continues to release in new territories, but to the chagrin of some fans, only on iOS and Android.

Granted, those are the predominant operating systems in the mobile world, but there are many who use Windows for their preferred mobile operating system, and they don’t want to remain on the outside looking in.
Thus a new petition has popped up on Change.org, requesting that Nintendo and Niantic’s Pokemon GO be released on Windows 10 and Windows 10 mobile. The petition originators cite a few statistics to support their request, including that Windows 10 has been installed on over 81 million devices since its release. They also bring up how the Windows 10 store has access to 100 carriers across 57 markets, and can reach 3 billion customers.
Perhaps the strongest argument is that Windows Phone 8 is the third most popular mobile OS, so it just makes sense for Niantic to open their game to more players. After they list their reasoning, they state their official request.
“With the above stated, the community composed of millions of loyal fans and users of Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile humbly request Pokรฉmon GO creators, Niantic, Inc., The Pokรฉmon Company, and Nintendo Co., Ltd., to release Pokรฉmon GO on Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile alongside their Android and iOS counterparts.”
I imagine it will most assuredly happen in time, but Niantic should probably make sure the game works across all territories on Android and iOS first before it introduces a whole other player base. If you would like to support the petition, you can do so here.
