Marvel Studios has just released the first clip from Guardians of the Galaxy as part of the MTV Movie Awards Takeover. The clip focuses on Star-Lord, as played by Chris Pratt.In the clip, Star-Lord attempts to steal a certain artifact known as the Orb. The scene has a very Raiders of the Lost Ark feel to it. Star-Lord’s heist is interrupted by Korath, as played by Djimon Hounsou.Of course some of this footage was previously shown in the first trailer, but there is a new scene, where Star-Lord drops to the floor, puts on his helmet, and rockets away.Guardians of the Galaxy is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on August 1, 2014.
