Marvel Comics has released a first look preview at Edge of Spider-Verse #2, by writer Jason Latour and artist Robbi Rodriguez.

Edge of Spider-Verse is a series of one-shots, leading up to the big Spider-Verse event, that gives readers a chance to meet some of the Spider-Mans from across the multiverse that will united to battle the threat of Morlun.

Edge of Spider-Verse #2 visits a universe where it wasn’t Peter Parker who was bit by a radioactive spider, but Gwen Stacy. After learning that great power comes with great responsibility, she goes on to become Spider-Woman and fight crime in the streets of New York, all while keeping her secret identity safe from her father, NYPD Police Chief George Stacy.

“This story sees Gwen at a real crossroads of her life,” says writer Jason Latour, in an interview with Marvel.com. “Spider-Woman is wanted for a crime she didn’t commit. So where as her life in costume before was a lot of adventuring and fun, she’s now being forced to decide what it means to her.”

Gwen Stacy: Spider-Woman makes her debut in Edge of Spider-Verse #2, on sale September 17.
