In Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, Antje Traue (Seventh Son) was cast as Faora-Ul, General Zod’s ruthlessness and murderous Sub-Commander. Antje’s performance was well received, but did you know that the fierce and skilled Kryptonian warrior was originally offered to the actress that ended up becoming Warner Brothers’ Amazonian princess? That’s right, Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) was offered the role but had to turn it down.
“When I was a month pregnant with (my daughter) Alma, I got an offer to be the evil Superman character,” Gadot told Xnet (via batman-news) “If I wasn’t pregnant I’d take the job, and there’s no way they would take me now to be Wonder Woman.”
In Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice opens March 25, 2016.
