When Angry Birds was first announced, I’m sure there were many who simultaneously shared the same thought of “really?”.

I’ll admit, so did I, but once the first trailer hit I gradually started to change my tune. The sarcastic tone of Red, who is voiced by Horrible Bosses actor Jason Sudeikis, is a big reason for the change of heart, though I also sympathize with Red’s eyebrow dilemma (what can I say, it’s genetics).
The film also boasts an all-star cast of comedic talent, including Bill Hader, Kate McKinnon, Keegan-Michael Key, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, and Maya Rudolph to name just a few. They are all featured in some of the newest TV spots and clips for the film, which are featured below.
The film didn’t limit itself to just casting actors, though, as it stars Blake Shelton in his first animated voice role as the cowboy pig Earl, along with Charlie XCX as Willow. While she isn’t featured in the film, Demi Lovato is featured on the soundtrack, covering Gloria Gaynor’s classic I will survive.

The studio has also released some behind the scenes footage, which features some of the design and development work that went into bringing the birds of the game to life on the screen. Plus, we get some footage of the great voice cast at work.
Angry Birds releases in theatres on May 19th.
