It has been a rough time for Hulk Hogan as of late, but today’s news brought some much-needed joy.
Today the jury in the much talked about Hogan vs Gawker case came to a verdict, declaring Gawker founder Nick Denton and editor A.J. Daulerio liable. The jury awarded Hogan, real name Terry Bolea, a grand sum of $115 million. All of this started when back in 2012 Gawker posted a two-minute video (a piece of a 30-minute long video that they had reportedly received) of a leaked sex tape between Hogan and Heather Cole, the wife of his best friend.

After the verdict, Hogan broke down in tears, and while Gawker will appeal the case, they still have to pay the damages now. For Gawkers part, Denton said “Given key evidence and the most important witness were both improperly withheld from this jury, we all know the appeals court will need to resolve the case.”
It is a much-needed win for Hogan, and hopefully is a step in the right direction.
