Comic Book Movie notes that Malone, in response to comments from a fan-made Instagram account for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, responded with “nice set visit,” suggesting that’s all it was.

Of course, that can be taken with just as much salt as the original speculation. If she had a surprise cameo that only lasted a scene (say, Lucy Lane or Cat Grant, somebody like that), it wouldn’t make sense for her to reveal it before Snyder or the studio was ready to, especially if it might upset somebody and cost her the gig.

Batman V Superman director Zack Snyder directed Malone in Sucker Punch. She also appears in the Hunger Games franchise as Johanna Mason.
